One of my nephews is celebrating his first communion this Saturday. We just found out last night, so I needed to whip up a fun card for him to celebrate the occasion.
I thought the
Gator and Friends digi was perfect for this. I just omitted the sentiment that comes with it and printed out my own.
I wasn't sure what a 9-year old boy would appreciate, so I stuck with "You rock!" and things like that. I think this is right up his alley now!
To make the little pennants, I just trimmed the sentiments, then used a square punch on one side. I layered them on a colored piece of paper with the toothpick in between.
Had I planned this a little better, I would have put the orange pennant in the center, but they were already glued together when I decided on this configuration. Oh well!
