Happy Groundhog's Day! So
Punxsutawney Phil already predicted six more weeks of winter. Yuck! But we have our own local groundhog-
Dunkirk Dave who is about thirty miles away from where I live. And luckily he
did NOT see his shadow! So what does all this mean? I'm not sure! {wink}
On the bright side, I have a springy little card to share with you this morning. I used
Fall-to-Layout #76 and
Embellish Magazine's Ribbon Color Challenge as my inspiration.
My base is PTI dark chocolate. The aqua strip is PTI ocean tides that I cut with my Fiskars cloud decorative edge scissors. I used the
Ecstasy Large Borders template and my paper piercer to make the decorative border.
The four squares are PTI sweet blush stamped with
Verve's Because of You set in
Palette Toile Pink ink. I stamped an extra flower, cut it out, and popped it up on dimensionals for extra interest. Then topped it off with a tiny
self-adhesive pearl.
I have been loving leaving sentiments off the front of my cards these days. I've been stamping them inside before mailing and that way I can customize them for whatever occasion I need them. Plus, for clean and simple cards like this, I don't feel like I clutter up the front with it.
Be sure to check back tomorrow as I'll have something fun to share with you that you won't want to miss!
