Just a quick post from me this morning. My design team term with the amazing Schlosser Designs is coming to an end in a few days. And with all of the hub-bub with my stamp release this month, I'll be showing some Schlosser goodies well into July because I've fallen a bit behind.

But, in the meantime, I wanted you all to know that Erin is having a design team call. You can find all of the details on her blog here. You have until July 7th to apply.

Erin is quite possibly one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of working with. Not to mention, her stamps are adorable and of amazing quality!

Morning and happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. The weather here has been so crazy. Lots of violent thunderstorms, some tornado warnings, hail, etc.

I decided to soften things up a bit and make a lovey-dovey card for this week's sketch over on Card Patterns. We're being sponsored by the amazing Gina K Designs again this week- can you believe it??

My base is PTI white. I used my scalloped scissors to cut the layer of PTI melon berry and then topped it off with another layer of white to keep the clean look. The stamps are from Gina K Designs Lovely Labels set designed by my friend Nina Brackett. I stamped the label in PTI melon berry ink and the sentiment in Palette Charcoal ink.



I cut the entire thing out by hand, but you can use your labels four nestabilities as they were designed to coordinate with them. I pierced a little border along the left side of my top-most melon berry layer. Then added four snippets of melon berry ribbon to finish my card off.

Boy, am I glad it's Friday! This week has been pure hell at work. Super busy with nothing but problems. And then coupled with the release of my third set of stamps (which I'm super excited about) things have been so busy at home, too. So I'm looking forward to the weekend so I can catch up on some things.

Here's the card I made for this week's sketch over on Card Patterns. We were sponsored by the Stamping Boutique and got to play with some of their wonderful digis again.



I've been in a quilty mood lately, so I made a paper quilt out of Memory Box's Spearmint collection. It's hard to tell in the photo, but I unified my little quilts using dots of my Copic Multiliner.

I finished the card off with a tiny pin from my stash, some pink satin ribbon, and a paper flower.

Oh what a happy day! I'm so glad you stopped by. Today is the big day for me. Summer Garden is officially on sale over at i {heart} papers for only $10. And it coordinates with both of my past sets, too.

Today I wanted to make a quick little project to wrap the week-long celebration up. So I decided to make a cute little label for a jar of homemade strawberry jelly that I whipped up over the weekend with fresh-picked strawberries from my garden.



I stamped the mason jar and strawberries in Palette Burnt Umber ink onto kraft cardstock. Then used my oval nestabilities to cut the mason jar out. I hand-cut the strawberries out and popped them up on dimensionals for more interest.

I layered the kraft oval over a scalloped oval cut out of vintage cream. Then finished the tiny label off by adding some sparkle with my Copic Spica red glitter pen.

Strawberry Jelly Recipe

Well, I hope you've been enjoying the sneak peeks of my newest set Summer Garden, because today is the last day of peeks! Tomorrow the set will finally be released!!

Today I thought I would show you how you can use this newest set with my winter set Sleigh Ride. [Which is also on sale for $5 I might add!]

My base is PTI white. All of that yummy decorative paper is from Memory Box's Spiceberry collection from last winter. Love it, and as you can see I'm a paper hoarder and still have some left. {wink}

I made another little quilt, because I can't get enough of these and I hope you're not getting sick of them. I faux stitched the bottom layer using my paper piercer and Copic Multiliner. And the top layer was done using the Inkssentials white pen.



My teacup and ornament topper were both stamped in Palette Noir ink onto white cardstock. I used my circle nestabilities to cut out the teacup. The ornament topper was cut out by hand and popped up on dimensionals for more interest.

I finished my card off with a bit of PTI new leaf twill ribbon. Then used my Copic Spica red glitter pen to add some shimmer to the red ornaments and the little dots on my teacup. The layout for my card comes from this week's sketch over on CPS.

I wanted to include a sympathy sentiment in my newest set, Summer Garden, because I felt these floral images would lend themselves well to making such cards.

So today I wanted to create a clean and simple sympathy card. I decided to use the lily image and create a little border along the bottom half of my card with it. I first stamped the image onto a post-it note. Then cut it out to use as a mask. I stamped the lily in Palette Burnt Umber ink five times along the bottom of my card, alternating its position slightly.



I love how prismacolor pencils show up on kraft cardstock without blending, so I decided to color my lilies in with my white pencil. Then I added subtle touches of light pink and light green to the buds and hearts of the flowers.

I finished my card off with a scored line just below my lily border. My sentiment was stamped onto a piece of scrap kraft cardstock. I rounded the edges, then inked them slightly to make the sentiment pop a bit. I added a scrap of pink satin ribbon from my stash to the little tag and then popped the whole thing up on dimensionals.
