Happy Monday! And a happy belated Independence Day and Canada Day (to my Canadian friends)! I'm enjoying having today off of work. But I paid for it by going in and working a full day Saturday- yuck!
It's been so hot out the past few days that I'm not motivated to craft. My studio only has one window and no breeze, so it's stifling in there. But I did manage to make my card for this week's sketch over on
Card Patterns. We're showcasing the new design team's first cards on the blog. Not to mention that we're being sponsored by
Prairie Fairy Designs and we all got to play with their adorable digital images on our cards.
My base is PTI vintage cream. I used their flower barrel image on my card and colored it in with my prismacolor pencils. I love digis because you can size them to fit your card exactly how you want them!
Heather and I used the same image on our card. But hers is tall and skinny and mine is short and squat- that gives each card a completely different look!
I doodled the border around my image in by hand using my
Copic Multiliner. Then added two tiny pink bows to my card and used my
Copic Spica lemon glitter pen to add some sparkle to the center of each flower.
Oh, and you just might want to check out the
sale category over at
i {heart} papers because Kate put over 800 items on sale to get ready for CHA. That's a huge sale! Tons of amazing things are on sale including all of her Unity kits- yum!
