I'm happy to say that our spring bulbs have been blooming for a few weeks now. It's always cause for a celebration around here when you see those first flowers start to bloom.
These beauties are
Pink Impression. I planted them last year due to the
garden re-haul that happened last summer and into the fall.
Tulips are always challenging for me because the rabbits enjoy them so much. This year I'm having success with organic garlic powder sprinkled on the flowers before they open.
And here is
Ivory Prince Hellbore. She's another stunner. I have her planted right by my steps so I can see her when I walk in and out of the house. She has actually been blooming since the end of February.
We had such a crazy winter this year- very little snow and warm temperatures. I have a feeling everything will be early this year!
