Paradise & IHP Giveaway

Happy Friday everyone! I'm so glad the weekend is here. But I think I say that every week. [Stay tuned- there's a great IHP giveaway at the end of this post!]

I was so excited to finally get to make another layout this morning. This was one of my favorite photos from our honeymoon. This was the view from the beach in front of our hotel. We sat under a straw hut sipping on margaritas all week. It was paradise!

The background patterned paper is DCWV Blue Vintage. The cream striped is Doodlebug Sugar Cookie Stripe. And then I used a small strip of Colorbok Aqua Stripe near the bottom. The layout is courtesy of Deb over on AllyScraps. I just found that forum last month and have really loved visiting. The girls there are what pushed me to try scrapping!

I made my own little journaling tag out of white scrap paper, a dotted stamp, hole punch, and some hemp twine. I thought it added to the beachy feel I had going on.

I distressed the edges of my patterned paper using my Heidi Swapp edge distresser. Love that thing! Then I dabbed the edges of my paper with Versamagic Wheat ink.

Title

The alphabet stickers are from Basic Grey's Porcelain line and they matched perfectly! Love when that happens. The stamp on the left is Studio G $1 from Michael's.

I'm so used to taking photos of cards it's hard to adjust to the larger size of a layout. Any tips from you pros out there?

That picture is beautiful. The layout you chose blends in the picture and doesn't take away from the picture!! I love the colors you used!! My fave thing about Spring is the tulips!

Tracy, this LO is like a breath of fresh air! I LOVE the colors, the pic, everything!

My favorite part of spring is opening up the windows again. The sun and breeze come pouring in, and you can hear the birds chirping. I just love it!

Adorable page. It just looks so relaxing! Happy Spring to you as well. My favorite thing about Spring is (1) change ... since I live in Minnesota, the melting of the snow and seeing green grass sprouting up ... and (2) rain. I love the smell of fresh rain coming down and seeing my daughter go play in the puddles afterwards!

I love everything about spring, the crisp bright green of new grass and leaves, the flowers, and the return of warm weather (no more cold gray days!!!)

Another great layout! Always look forward to your daily inspirations. What I like about spring is all the blooming flowers and plants. I plant impatients in May and my July they are in full bloom.

All my trees turn green and the flowers come up. I also see so many of my bird friends returning, later on there will be butterflies and dragonflies too.

My favorite part of spring is the FLOWERS everywhere! That's when I know that spring has arrived. Something cheerful to look forward to after all the snow, and slush and all that!

My favorite part of spring is what I just got done doing. My kids and I took a picnic to the park and enjoyed our 70 degree weather. It felt so wonderful.

Love this page... the papers are gorgeous!

My favorite part of spring is airing out the house! I feel like when I can open the windows and let in fresh air the winter germs are leaving and I love that fresh air smell! I also love just being outside... in the summer here it's too hot to be enjoyable... spring is perfect!
