Give Thanks

Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We were lucky to have some fabulous weather. It gave me a chance to rake the yard one last time. Plus we had a great day to celebrate a friend's big 30th birthday.

Here's my card for this week's sketch over on Card Patterns. My base is PTI kraft. This card is a bit bigger at 5" by 7". I wanted to leave enough room to accommodate the sketch.

I used one of these great journal stickers from Sassafras Lass. My sentiment is a combination of green alphabet stickers from my stash and a word from my Happy Harvest set stamped in Palette Burnt Umber ink



For the background of my card, I stamped Unity's distressed dots in Versamark on the upper third of my card base. Then I stamped the worn grid on the bottom third in Versamark.

To make my little clouds, I used my Inkssentials white pen to dot around a shape I drew in pencil. Then I went back and erased the pencil lines. I finished the card off with a piece of twine and colored the stickers in with my Copic Spica clear glitter pen.
