Happy Friday! This morning I have my first ever challenge for Crop Suey to share with you. I hope you'll stop by the blog to see what the other girls cooked up! I was browsing through the DT forum the other night and there are some amazing projects!
The theme for the first challenge is friendship. You can interpret this in any way you see fit. I chose to make a pair of earrings to give as a gift, perhaps to a friend to say thank you. My earrings are made from Czech fire-polished glass beads, rhinestone rhondelles, and Swarovski pearls.
And here's a not-so-great photo of the set together. I used a piece of acetate to cover the hole I cut in my box with my square nestabilities.
Now, for the fun part. Since I've been lucky enough to meet some really wonderful people through blogging and have some great opportunities come my way, I thought I'd say thank you by offering this little set up to one random winner.
To be entered in my giveaway, simply leave a comment on this post telling me what you're thankful for so far this year. Unfortunately, this is open only to US residents! I'll leave the comments open until Monday the 25th at 11:59pm and post the winner Tuesday the 26th.
Have a great weekend!

First I'd like to say that the earrings are lovely and everything that goes with them are too!! Now for the thankful part....I'd have to say that is for my husband and boys. Even thought they all drive me crazy sometimes, I wouldn't want to live without them!!!
I have said this before...but I am thankful for my Savior- I can't go a day without Him. If I had to say something else...my husband because he is the most amazing man in the world! I am so lucky that he waited for me and loves me!
These are gorgeous earrings Tracy, and the gift box is spectacular too! Wow, you have lots of wonderful creations on your blog...I'll have to come back more often! I am grateful for family, especially my son...it couldn't be any more simpler than that! smile Thanks for the chance and have a fabulous weekend!

I am thankful that my husband has a job, that my kids are healthy and happy! I am Thankful for the fact that I can homeschool them and not miss out on so much of their lives. I am thankful for amazing friends both the ones I have met and have yet to meet!. It is a good life!
every time when i come onto your blog, it is like a present- always a surprise! i am always amazed at your creations, simply and elegantly done!
as for being thankful so far this year...my youngest is having digestive problems and needs an endoscopy. with her having a bleeding disorder, the surgery becomes more complicated and she has to have a certain medicine before hand to keep her stomach from excessivly bleeding. the cost of this nasal spray is $750. we just found out that through a specialty pharmacutical market, we only have to pay $50 and her operation will be must less invasive. i am thankful for insurance!
