This week over on Card Patterns we got the chance to dig into our stash and use any supplies we wanted. I just love it when that happens!
I couldn't resist pairing this sweet pinata digi with some of my favourite papers from Echo Park.
This card felt a little busy while I was making it- I used a lot more layers than I normally do. But in the end I was happy with how it turned out. Must have been all those bright colors I used!
Be sure to stop by Card Patterns this week to see the sketch and what our design team made with it. We have a sad announcement up on the blog, too.

This week over on Card Patterns we're sponsored by AnnaBelle Stamps. Each design team member received a set of their wonderful clear stamps to use on our creations.
I decided to create a clean and simple card using this week's sketch. And for some reason, I just felt purple and white were the right colors for that!
I think my card pretty much explains itself. The only thing you may not be able to tell from the photo is that I used my lavender Spica pen to add some sparkle to each little flower petal. It really sparkles in person!

This week over on Card Patterns we're sponsored by Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. Each design team member received an assortment of fresh rubber stamps to use on our creations.
We're going to a wedding this weekend- a friend of my husband's from high school/college. And so I thought this sweet branch with hearts was perfect for the occasion.
I used some decorative paper from the Howdy Doody (Miss Caroline) pad, which is still one of my favs these days. It's actually almost finished up- can you believe it?!
I used a couple Copics to color in the hearts and flowers on the image. I love how on kraft this looks almost like water coloring!
Be sure to stop by Card Patterns this week to check out the sketch and see what the design team made using it. We have a great prize up for grabs and a chance to be our guest designer, too.

This week over on Card Patterns we're sponsored by Freckled Fawn, which means a great prize for anyone who plays along with us. The design team was able to dig into our stash for our cards.
Unfortunately, I had the need for a sympathy card and this week's sketch was the perfect starting point for me.
I used one of the new Gourmet Rubber Stamps I picked up from Kate with my last order. This one is called Treasured Memories and it will be my go-to stamp for sympathy cards. It's just gorgeous and I hope it brings comfort to the recipient.
It's hard to tell from my photo, but I went over the cursive words in the sentiment with my Copic N1 marker. On the kraft, it leaves just a little bit of shadowing which makes them stand out more. I also colored in the flower a bit.
I hope you'll stop by Card Patterns this week to see what our design team made with this week's sketch. We have a great prize for grabs and a chance to be our guest designer to anyone who plays along with us!

This week over on Card Patterns we're sponsored by Designed2Delight. Each design team member was able to choose a digi from their store to work with on our cards.
I could resist this cute little watering can digi. I've really been in the groove of not putting a sentiment on the front of my cards lately, and this was no exception. That way I can use them for birthdays, sympathy, congratulations, or just to say hi.
The patterned paper is one of my all-time favourites, an old collection from Memory Box called Gossamer. I love all the different shades of pink and the patterns and thought they were a perfect match for this watering can image.

This week over on Card Patterns we're sponsored by Evgenia's Etsy Shop. And while she is providing the prize for all of the participants, the rest of the design team got to dig into our stash for our cards.
I just had to use this adorable Birthday Girl kit from Echo Park. I love that it's half the size of a normal 12x12 kit but still comes with coordinating papers and embellishments.
My niece's birthday is this week and so I thought these colors and patterns were just here style! Can you believe there is no stamping anywhere in sight on this card?
Be sure to stop by Card Patterns this week to see what our design team made with the sketch. We'd love for you to play along with us, too. You know we have a fabulous prize up for grabs and a chance to be our guest designer.
