Funraiser for Henry

Afternoon friends. I have some sad news to pass along.

Former i {heart} papers DT member Sarah Anderson lost her three year old son Henry earlier this week due to a sudden illness.

To raise money for a memorial tree to be planted at Henry's zoo (which was his favorite place to visit), Pink Cat Studio is selling a special digital image. You can also send in money directly to the memorial fund.

I had hoped to have a card ready with the memorial image to share with you today, but time got away from me. I hope you'll consider helping honor little Henry if you're able to.

Yes, it was raining that day.

Not that either of us cared. We had hoped for sunshine but knew the outdoor ceremony wouldn't last long. I remember walking down the stone aisle clutching to my father's arm as we both made jokes about who would fall first.

And then I looked up and saw your face. You looked so nervous! I had never seen you like that before.

The ceremony was a blur. As was most of the reception. Until the power went out at 11pm. A fitting end!

You are my rock, my confidant, my best friend. Whatever life throws at us, you always meet it with a smile and a joke. I'm so happy to have spent these past eight years with you, three as your wife. Here's to many, many more!

Afternoon! I have nothing crafty to share with you today. {sigh} My hubby's been sick for the past few days so I've been busy taking care of him. Not to mention I'm not feeling too well myself! I hope to be back tomorrow with a card.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I surprised Michael with an HD monitor for his computer, since he's been talking about getting a new computer lately, but has been putting it off. I thought he needed a kick in the pants. So he's downstairs hooking it up to his old computer to see how it looks. And Santa brought me a Xyron 250! I can't wait to play with it.

I'm sorry I don't have a card to share with you today. Our internet has been down all day. So of course it comes back up as we're about to leave!

I didn't want to let the day pass without announcing the winner of my blog candy giveaway.

Beautiful card!! We have become such dorks lately, we don't live near any family and with 2 kids made the decision not to try to travel so far ON the actual holidays - too stressful, especially for me. Instead I take the kids to visit my parents for longer periods during "off" months. So this year I think we're going to go to one of the local favorite restaurants in this area, it's a restaurant and microbrewery, they are having a big Thanksgiving buffet. Their food is always to die for -- and no clean up!! #11 Jennifer
