Good morning all! Thank you for the sweet comments and emails you sent my way yesterday. I'm feeling a bit better today, although this migraine still hasn't left me.
I took a little time yesterday for some card-making therapy and made this scrappy card. The layout is from Laura's sketch on the 2S4Y blog this week. I also paired it with a pocket challenge from the Hero Arts blog this week.
I started with a piece of PTI Ocean Tides cardstock. My decorative paper is all from Basic Grey's Periphery. Yes, it's a year old. But I adore this paper. I'm so afraid to cut into it and actually use it. So I vowed this year not to worry about actually using my supplies. That's what they're here for! And that's also why you're seeing more scrappy styled cards from me lately.
I took the Hero Arts manuscript background stamped and stamped it in Palette Noir onto the light green paper a couple times. Then cut a 2.5" by 3" piece of the pink paper for my pocket. I stamped the Sweet Bird image in Palette Noir in the bottom right corner. The blue scalloped layer was a piece from my stash. I used my SU slit punch to make the scalloped edge.
What's in the pocket you ask? Well, my sweet little bird has a message for you! Tweet!
