Good morning! Notice me peeking out at you on the right-hand side there? I thought it was time to update my photo on my blog here, since the previous one was from our wedding more than two years ago! This one's a bit more recent.
I started with a piece of PTI Berry Sorbet cardstock cut and folded to 5.5" wide by 4.25" tall. My decorative paper is Basic Grey Lily Kate. This was the first pack of Basic Grey I ever bought and I still have half of the pad left!
I used my prismacolor pencils and colored in the flowers on my image to coordinate with the decorative paper after the ink was dry. I added some self-adhesive pearls to portions of the image. Then finished my card off with a prima hydrangea topped with a pearl and a strip of PTI Summer Sunrise cardstock that I cut using some decorative scissors.
I love decorative scissors because they're less than 1/4 of the price of those fancy border punches and you can get the same effect! Which means you can have four or five times the number of options for the same price. Of course they take a little practice to use, but I think they're worth it.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back with another card tomorrow.
