April IHP Challenge

Happy Tuesday! I have a special delivery for you today. {wink}

Cathleen challenged all of the i {heart} paper design team members to make a card with an image that was on an angle. Easy peasy!

My card base is PTI Dark Chocolate cut and folded to 7" by 5". All of the decorative paper on my card today comes from the My Mind's Eye Grow collection. I love the colors on these papers- the blues, greens, and oranges are so fun.

The layout from my card today is from Laura's sketch on the 2S4Y blog this week. Loved it!



My balloon and sentiment are from Unity's Love in the Air. This is one of my favorite images of theirs. Isn't it adorable? I stamped it in Palette burnt umber ink, colored it with my prismacolor pencils, and then blended using baby oil and blending stumps. If you're looking for more information on how to blend with baby oil, here's a link to a tutorial I wrote last year on this very topic.

I cut my little balloon out with detail scissors and then mounted it on pop dots for some extra dimension. Then to finish the card off I added a few self adhesive pearls to the bottom left corner. And you know I had to color my balloon in with my Copic Spica clear glitter pen for a little shimmer.
